Unscrew airtube

Before removing plug we need to drain all air from airtube, we can shoot without pellets for drain air. Unscrew coupler between airtube and barrel, then remove the plug itself. For removing plugs can be used pliers, or we can use coupling as a lever.

Mount Altaros pressure regulator

After unscrewing plug is necessary to unscrew the handle with a manometer. Screw the installation stick to the regulator and check o-ring, if it is clean and not damaged. Spray o-ring with silicone spray for preventing any damage. Insert regulator handle to the bottom of airtube into the center hole. Regulator handle insert only to a depth that you can see o-ring in the hole after removed manometer. Then push wrench through manometer hole on o-ring (or another blunt object that will not cause damage to o-ring) and push regulator with a circular motion to the bottom.

In the event of a leak around o-ring on the handle will unregulated pressure penetrates into regulated part and even the regulator is functioning properly, the output pressure will be unregulated. This is the most common reason for poor consistency after installing the regulator, which is considered us malfunctioning regulator, which is bad consideration because an error is in installation, or in uncleanness on the o-rings (which are between the regulator and the chamber, or between the chamber and handle of regulator). O-rings between the parts and regulator has to be easily squeezed between the walls (not too squashed). Remove the installation stick and screw the plug back into the airtube. Attach back coupling and everything is done. After installing regulator will be manometr still show pressure in airtube, not regulated pressure.

Setting pressure of airgun regulator

Altaros regulator output pressure can be set from 100bar (1450 PSI) to 150bar (2200 PSI). For a quick setting is on regulator engraved scale according to which the desired output pressure can be set. The total scale range of 100-150bar corresponds to approximately 1/2- turn. Unscrewing, or screwing setting screw more than 1 turn may result in a malfunction of the regulation and scale will not show you regulated pressure. Groove on red marked half of setting plastic screw represents pointer which shows you currently set pressure on the scale. To change the pressure on regulator, just simply rotate the set screw with the flat screwdriver in the appropriate direction according to regulator scale.

Warning: 

Never unscrew regulator brass screw plugs! If you do so the regulator immediately stops working and repair is only possible at the manufacturer!

You must keep maximum cleanness in the entire pressure system (airtube and outer o-rings).

The disassembly of the internal parts regulator or failure at the exact installation procedure means that you can not claim the warranty. Since the regulator is not original part from the manufacturer’s, installation is on your own responsibility.
