Instructions for replacing the stock:
Replacing the plastic stock with this Tactical Chassis System is very simple. Just follow the steps in the video below or this text.
First, the 2 screws in the bottom of the stock that hold the stock to the rifle body are unscrewed and the stock is removed.
Then the plastic washer on the lower rifle body around the brass retainer for the stock bolt is removed.
On older model M24 rifles that do not have a cutout on the plastic washer. It will be necessary to manually finish this cutout with a knife, or use pliers, to break the washer, as it is no longer used in the aluminum stock.
Once the washer is removed, the new aluminum stock will sit on the rifle so that the protruding feed tube fits into the cutout.
The rifle must have the bolt lever closed. The bolt lever window on the stock is put in the same position as the window on the rifle body- see photo.
If this would not be possible because the pressure gauge on the regulator would touch the wall of the stock, then the position is determined according to the pressure gauge so that there is a small gap between the pressure gauge and the stock
In this position, use the new screws supplied with the Tactical Chassis System to secure the stock to the rifle body. The longer screw is placed in the hole between the trigger and pistol grip.
When tightening the screws, always check that the rifle body sits in the correct place on the stock.
Tightening the bolt is done with an Allen wrench, by holding the wrench by its shorter side in the fingers, thus limiting the maximum tightening force, which must not be exceeded.
For a longer bolt, the permissible tightening force is 3Nm ( corresponding to full tightening by the shorter side of the wrench and subsequent light tightening by the longer side of the wrench).
For the shorter bolt it is 2Nm which corresponds to tightening only the short side of the key.
More tightening may cause the thread on the rifle body to break off
